So Wednesday as I posted on my previous blog was the 70th anniversary of my all time favorite movie Casablanca! This wonderful movie was made in 1942 by director Michael Curtiz. It stars actors Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, and Claude Rains...just to name a few. When I first found out that Casablanca was going to be shown I literally screamed! I hadn't been so excited in...well...ever! It has always been a dream of mine to see Casablanca on the big screen. I dream I felt that was somewhat unrealistic. A movie made in 1942? Where on earth was I going to find a theater that shows old movies? Thank you TCM (Turner Classic Movies) for helping me to accomplish my #1 thing on my list of things to do before I die! Even if I was the only one there that was under 40
Casablanca is said to be one of the best romantic stories of all time...now while it is an amazing story...'most romantic?' that I have to disagree with. It is a beautiful movie and a must see for EVERYONE, but the people who decided it was the most romantic obviously didn't finish the movie! To find out what I mean by that...well you will just have to watch it for yourself!
Casablanca is set in Casablanca Morocco during World War 2 and tells the story of Rick (Bogart) and Ilsa (Bergman). Rick owns a club in Casablanca where many refugees find themselves at night if not to escape their problems to find a way to fix them by trying to do anything they can to get exit visas so that they might escape to America. But not Rick, he is completely content sitting in his club watching life come and go. That is of course until his long lost love walks through his door...on the arm of another man. Victor Laszlo (Paul Henreid) is a well know freedom fighter trying find a way to stay alive and away from the Germans who are trying desperately to get information from him. So what happens when Rick finds himself with two tickets out of there? Will he take the tickets and his girl and get out of there? or maybe he will give one to Laszlo so that Ilsa can stay with him and they can live happily ever after. Maybe he will give him both of the tickets, and watch the love of his life fly off with another man. I guess you will have to watch it and see.

I would like to start off by letting you all know how sorry I am that I didn't post last Friday! I have been sick and I just couldn't bring myself to get out of bed, BUT no worry's I'm now feeling 100% better! Now on to today's topic...
I promised myself when I first started this blog that I would never write on anything Vampire. I think that the whole vampire phenomenon is crazy and has completely taken over! The other day I walked into the book store to try and find a new book to read and all I saw were these dark books with people that look like they really need to get out and enjoy the sun a little more! Sadly I must admit my terrible secret, I love The Vampire Diaries...both the books and the television show. So I am breaking my promise that I made to myself because last nights episode of The Vampire Diaries was too exciting to keep to myself!
The Vampire Diaries Episode 10 Top 10
10) Bonny and Stefan are working together? Whats up with this? Last time I checked Bonny hated vampires now shes helping one that just got back from a killing spree?
9) Dr. Meredith Fell ? If you're a fan of the books you will understand why I'm so excited to hear that name! Meredith is a big role in the books and I'm very curious to find out her role in the show.
8) Jeremy gets compelled by Klaus and ends up in the middle of a street waiting to get hit by a speeding car! luckily Alaric comes to the rescue and pushes him out of the way, getting himself killed in the process. Of course he had his fancy 'bring me back to life' ring on so he was good.
7) Gotta love a good Damon Stefan fight! That is of course until Stefan admits that the only reason he saved Klaus was to save his brothers life.
6) Elena finally slapped Stefan! This whole time hes been being such a jerk and I think shes finally beginning to understand that the Stefan she loved is gone. SO is this it for our couple?
5) Well Tyler has officially lost it! After a talk with Elena Jer and Alaric he admits that if Klaus asked him to he would rip out his own heart! I get dogs being loyal to their master and all but at some point you gotta know when to say no!
4) Jeremy kills one of Klaus' Hybrid minions. Yep I think that explains itself.
3)Well Elena made a deal with Klaus and game him Rebecka ...but is baby sister among the living again? NOPE! Klaus decided to leave the dagger exactly where it is. Can you really blame him? Not sure shes going to be too excited with him when she wakes up. He did kill her mother and lie to her after all.
2)Damon compels Jeremy to move away! Not going to lie I cried a little bit...okay a whole lot! What exactly does this mean for Jer!? Will we see him again or is he gone for good? And how is Elena going to cope with losing the last of her family?
1) "If I'm going to feel guilty about something I'm going to feel guilty about this" well as a Damon and Elana fan I've been waiting for that kiss for 3 seasons now! I know she loves Stefan and everything but the way Damon loves her isn't just love its passion. . . and he is the more attractive brother.

Well Christmas is just a few days away! And I dont know how it is in your house, but in mine Christmas movies will be on a constant loop until Christmas is finally fini...they never seem to run out of the movies, kind of like they have a never ending stack of Christmas movies!
Over the years many Christmas movies have been made. Some about snowmen, others about a reindeer with a red nose...I could probably go on for hours talking about the many different Christmas movies that I was forced to watch as a child, and even now as I enter into adulthood. Out of all of those movies I remember watching my all time favorite is, 'It's a Wonderful Life" (1946)
In this movie George Bailey, played by James Stewart, decides that the world would be better off without him in it. He is then visited by an angel who shows him what the world would be like if he wasn't there. 'It's a Wonderful Life" is a touching film that I love to watch during the Christmas season. I definitely recommend this film be added to your holiday must watch list.
Now you know my favorite Christmas movie...whats yours?

Well it's Friday...and as promised here is some more of whats been going on in my head.
WB's hit television show "Smallville" recently released its its 10th and final season on DVD. As a long time fan I was very excited and sad to see my favorite show come to an end. As I watched the final episode I couldn't help the laughs, tears, and even the yelling. I was surprised again and again, as I watched the tale of love and of hate unfold before
Smallville is a wonderful show that tells the story of Clark Kent, better known as Superman, from his times in high school until he finally takes flight as 'The Man of Steel'. I definitely recommend this show for anyone, it has it all; romance, drama, action, science fiction, and so much more! I personally own every season, except for the 10th, and enjoy watching them over and over again.

Hello! Welcome to my blog!
I'm Aimee! I am a current college student, studying English and American Sign Language. I love watching old black and white movies, especially if Humphrey Bogart or Lauren Bacall is in any of them! I enjoy hanging out with friends, listening to music, Facebook/Twitter, reading, and I love to write. So I'm very thankful to be given the opportunity to work on my writing skills!
On this blog I will be posting on many different topics. Some of the things I will be discussing will be different movies, current and older films, I also plan on reviewing different popular books and television shows that I enjoy. This is somewhat of a personal blog so the posts can and will be on whatever I happen to be thinking about that day! I plan on posting at least once a week, every Friday, that is of course unless I find something I must share with my many readers!
Till next time,
